Peaceful, warm and relaxing, Glenvar b&b is situated in the middle of Blairgowrie in Highland Perthshire. Where you can relax and feel that here is a real home away from home.
Glevar is an ideal base from which you can explore the many sites of Scotland. All that you could need or want to do is in easy reach from Blairgowrie. Perhaps a romantic escape, a country trek, a whisky trail or a high adrenaline rush in various outdoor activities... Glenvar was originally opened by Jean and Robert Wilson in October 2002. It has two double rooms and one single room, all en suite and on the ground floor .All are attractively furnished and finished to a high standard.

Slip into a really comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton sheets. A clean, bright en suite bathroom with a hot and powerful shower.
Warm and light room with a wooden floor and an excellent bed (new in 2008). There is Egyptian cotton linen in the room and an en suite bathroom. A generous traditional or vegetarian breakfast is offered.
We offer a varied breakfast menu with breakfast served as near as possible to the time you wish to eat. The choices are: cereals, grapefruit, yogurt and creamy porridge, followed by either a traditional full Scottish breakfast or a vegetarian option. Or you could opt for a fish dish, or eggs cooked in various ways.
By air
From Edinburgh Airport follow the a8 west and follow the signs for the Forth Bridge. Take the m90 north to Perth. Take the 2nd turning for Perth from the dual carriageway. Follow the a93 until the signs for Blairgowrie appear. Drive through the town to the 'Wellmeadow' where turning left at the lights will take you over the bridge to Rattray. Drive up the hill and bear right at the top. We are on the right hand side 300 meters from here on the a926.
By Ferry
From Rosyth Ferry Terminal follow the signs for the M90 north to Perth. Take the 2nd turning for Perth from the dual carriageway. Follow the A93 until the signs for Blairgowrie appear. Drive through the town to the 'Wellmeadow' where turning left at the lights will take you over the bridge to Rattray. Drive up the hill and bear right at the top. We are on the right hand side 300 meters from here on the A926.
By Rail
From Perth Railway Station turn right at the station, past the park, towards the river. At the roundabout turn left onto Tay St. Take the right hand turn over the bridge. At the end of the bridge turn left towards the A93/94. Follow either of the roads to Blairgowrie. In Blairgowrie drive over the bridge to Rattray and the A926. We are 300 meters up this road on the right hand side.
By Bus
From Perth Bus Station From Perth Bus Station take the bus to Alyth. In Blairgowrie ask to be dropped at the 2nd stop in Rattray High St. We are on the opposite side of the road from the Bus Stop ( A926). From Dundee Bus Station From Dundee Bus Station take the bus to Blairgowrie and ask to be set down before Sidlaw Road. The bus stop is directly opposite Glenvar.
